Today, the Tennessee Titans have fired their third year head coach, Mike Munchak. Munchak has been a member of the Titans/Oilers organization for over 30 years as both a player and a coach. His squad challenged for a playoff berth with a backup quarterback, so I am kind of surprised they let him go. It’s going to be interesting to see who the Titans target as their next head coach. There are a lot of holes on their roster, so whoever gets the job has their work cut out for them.
That makes seven head coaching jobs that have come open so far this offseason. So far, two of those none have been filled. The Houston Texans hired Bill O’Brien, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have hired Lovie Smith.
