“Bleach” is one of my favorite animes/mangas of all time. So, it hurts me to see it cut short. As a fan boy, I demand justice. It isn’t fair to watch all of these undeserving titles continue on while “Bleach” becomes a forgotten relic of the past.
What makes “Bleach” so amazing?
With very little gradual development, every character just jumps to new degrees of power and ability, which kept the action as unpredictable as the plot. Along with having an unpredictable plot majority of the time, it had one of the best and longest arcs in an action style anime. The show also had some of the best fillers I’ve ever seen across the board. The “Bount” and “Zanpakuto” arcs in my option, were good enough to be included in the manga.
There are no stupid time jumps, which we see a lot nowadays (e.g., Naruto, One Piece, Fairy Tail, etc). I don’t know about you, but it interrupts the flow of the story when I have to become familiar with everyone all over again. So, there goes 20 hours of character development that I have to sit through because you couldn’t figure out what to do with your characters anymore besides reinvent them.
Lastly, what is better than a “Bankai“? Nothing I could think of. The power scale of each individual’s “Bankai” is different and unique to it’s user. “Bankai” (simply meaning “release”) is a reflection of your soul manifested in physical form, each having unique abilities. So, unlike a Supers Saiyan, its not all about the power level. Far weaker opponents have killed “Captains” with creativity and wit alone.
If you haven’t had the time to watch “Bleach,” please do. I’m sure it’ll become one of your favorites too.
