Comic Pull List For 03/05/2014

Well, it’s Wednesday, and you know what that means. Yup it’s new comic book day. This is one of the best days of the week for me. I got five books this week, one of which I have been really looking forward to.

20140305-204044.jpgIron Man is concluding it’s “Iron Metropolis” story line. This has been a pretty interesting story, bringing back the Mandarin’s ten rings. The last issue really left a big cliffhanger, so I really can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

20140305-204123.jpgRemender has told a very interesting tale since he has taken over Captain America. I feel like he has really drawn some of the story out, but all in all I have really enjoyed the comic. It’s very different than when Ed Brubaker was writing the book, but Remender is showing change can be a very good thing.

20140305-204446.jpgVelvet has been a great spy thriller. No one does spies better in comics than Ed Brubaker. Espionage is the name of the game in Velvet, and it’s old school Cold War espionage at its finest. This has been a really good title, just one more reason why I love creator owned books so much.

20140305-205023.jpgThis issue concludes the Arkham War portion of the Forever Evil event that has been rocking the DC universe. Bane and Batman’s Rogues Gallery have rocked Gotham to its core. It has been a very crazy story, with some very unexpected twists and turns. It hasn’t really contributed much to Forever Evil, but it has been a good read.

20140305-210211.jpgLast, but certainly not least, is Moon Knight. Moon Knight has always been one of my favorite comic book characters. He is basically the Marvel version of Batman. Except Moon Knight is really crazy, I mean multiple personality crazy. This book is being written by Warren Ellis, so I have really high hopes for it.

Well, that’s my pull list for this week. I am really looking forward to each book. I can’t wait to dive in. I will be posting my book of the week soon.
