Comic Book Pull List 3/26/2014

This week, I got a LOT of books. I got nine books this weeks. I was actually suppose to get eleven, but my store sold out of two of them. So I had to settle for the nine I got, not that I am disappointed. I mean, I got nine books that I have been eagerly waiting for. Hell, one of the books I have been waiting 18 months for. Lol. So, I have a lot of great things to read this week.

20140326-204521.jpgTo start the week off, I got The Walking Dead #124. This is part 10 of 12 for the “All Out War” story. As this story line draws to a close, I am really interested to seeing how Robert Kirkman wraps this story up, and where he takes the group that we have been following for the past ten years.

20140326-205222.jpgI got issue one of the Silver Surfer. The Silver Surfer is one of my favorite characters in the Marvel Universe. He was a herald of Galactus. The Silver Surfer has since become one of the greatest heroes in the universe. This new self titled ongoing is being written by one of my favorite writers, Dan Slott. I am really looking forward to reading this.

20140326-210049.jpgBatman The Dark Knight is one of my favorite books in the new DC 52. I originally got it because it was being written and drawn by David Finch. He has left the book, but Gregg Hurwitz and Jorge Lucas have continued to make this book a good read. I have enjoyed this title, and it’s emphasis on some of Batman’s lesser known rogues. The current story is about the Man-Bat.

20140326-211415.jpgThe Manhattan Projects is simply one of my favorite books. It’s a fun read, which takes history and twists it to tell a good story. I love what Hickman does in this book. It’s just so different, and interesting. It’s a nerds dream lol.

20140326-212012.jpgSuperior Spider-Man ends next month with the return of the Amazing Spider-Man. This issue continues the “Goblin Nation” story. Dan Slott has so much going on with this book, it’s moving at a break neck speed. He has a billion things going on, and it’s all coming to a head. So I can’t wait to see how Slott pulls it all together in the end.

20140326-212614.jpgDead Body Road is just a book that I enjoy reading. It’s pretty straight forward title, with someone seeking revenge for his murdered wife. Nothing heavy, with some great art that fits the mood of the book.

20140326-213007.jpgTwo years ago(yes, two years), I was reading this excellent title by Brian Michael Bendis, Brilliant. Brilliant is about some genius college students who give themselves super powers. Of course, these powers can corrupt you. I honestly thought the book was over, but I guess I was wrong. So I am really interested in seeing what Bendis has in stored.

20140326-214340.jpgTalon is a title in the new DC 52 that has no ties to the old DC. The Court of the Owls and their Talons are a new addition to the Batman rogues gallery. They have added a mighty new foe, and this comic has really helped flesh the Court and their Talons out nicely.

20140326-215215.jpgLast, but certainly not least, is the strongest of them all, The Indestructible Hulk. I have absolutely loved what Mark Waid has done with Bruce Banner and the Hulk. He has really helped develop them and taken them in a very different direction that hasn’t been explored before.

Well, that’s my pull list this week. I know it’s a lot, but it’s a lot of great stuff. I really can’t wait to dive in. I will let you know what my pick of the week is. I have a lot of titles to choose from. Until then, laters.
