Summer Movies Season is Almost Here!!!

20140329-170700.jpgWell, in a week, summer movie season begins. Which is insane to me. Captain America: The Winter Soldier will kick off this summer blockbuster movie season. This will be the first truly big movie release of the year. I am really excited for it. I loved the first Captain America movie and this sequel looks really good.

I do have one issue though. Is it just me, or has the summer blockbuster season moved up a bunch. It used to be that the blockbuster movie season didn’t start until Mid-May. Now it’s creeped into April. Hell, the beginning of April really. I get it, everyone wants to have their own weekend during the summer, so they don’t have to go head to head with another heavyweight. But this is getting a little out of hand. Next thing you know, blockbusters will start creeping into March.

20140329-172249.jpgBesides being excited for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and I excited for the other comic book movies coming out this year. You got X-Men: Days of Future Past, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I loved X-Men First Class, and Days of Future Past looks just as good. Love the cast and the story. I thought The Amazing Spider-Man was ok, but nothing special. Well, it’s sequel looks bad ass. To see the beginning of the Sinister Six is going to be cool.

20140329-172408.jpgNot going to lie. I wasn’t clamoring for another Transformers movie. Especially one done my Michael Bay. Then I saw his choice for casting. And that it was kind of a reboot, but not really. And that the Dinobots were going to be in it. And I started to get a little excited. Then, I saw the first trailer. And I got VERY excited. I really can’t wait to see this movie now. Plus, it comes out on my birthday, which is an added bonus.

20140329-172750.jpgAs a kid, I loved monster movies. Especially any monster movie with Godzilla in it. I, along with the rest of the world, hated the Godzilla movie that came out in 1999. That movie was trash. This new Godzilla movie looks freaking awesome though. The trailer has me excited, and Godzilla looks humongous. They really got the scale right. Just hope the story holds up.

20140329-173144.jpg The sleeper movie for me this summer is Edge of Tomorrow. This story seems very interesting. I don’t always trust Tom Cruise, but I think this one has home run written all over it. I guess we shall see.

Those are the movies I am most excited about seeing this summer. There are a ton of other things I want to see, but those six are at the top of my list. What movie are you most excited about seeing this summer? Let me know in the comments.
