The new Cinemax series, Outcast, from Robert Kirkman will more than likely debut footage at the panel next month during SDCC. The Outcast panel will be moderated by Kumail Nanjiani (HBO’s “Silicon Valley”). Panelists include: creators and executive producers Robert Kirkman and Chris Black, cast members Patrick Fugit (Kyle Barnes), Philip Glenister (Reverend Anderson) and Wrenn Schmidt (Megan Holter), and two surprise special guest panelists.
The panel will be in Room 6A at 3:00 p.m. with an autograph signing at 5:45pm in the Warner Bros. booth #4545.
Outcast, based on the Skybound/Image comic title by creator Kirkman and artist Paul Azaceta, follows Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), a young man who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Now, with the help of the Reverend Anderson (Philip Glenister), a preacher with personal demons of his own, Kyle embarks on a journey to find answers and regain the normal life he lost. But what Kyle discovers could change his fate — and the fate of the world — forever.
Outcast stars Patrick Fugit as Kyle Barnes, Reverend Anderson as Philip Glenister, Reg E Cathey as chief of police, Giles, Julia Crockett will play Sarah Barnes, Kyle’s mother, Wrenn Schmidt as Megan, Kyle’s adopted sister, Kip Pardue will play Mark Holter, a small town cop and Kyle’s brother-in-law, and Gabriel Bateman will play 8-year-old Joshua Austin who’s possessed by a demon.
