Cinemax and Robert Kirkman’s New Series Outcast is Headed to NYCC!

NYCC is approaching with the quickness and that means tons of information will be posted on, who’s showing up to the largest con on the East Coast and where certain panels will be located. One of my favorite comic series, Outcast has been turned into a TV show which will air on Cinemax in 2016. Before airing on Cinemax though, you can be one of the first people to see a first look at the comic, turned TV, series. Check out the deets below!

Saturday, Oct. 10
The OUTCAST panel in Room 1A06 at 1:30 p.m. will be moderated by Jon Glaser (HBO’s “Girls”). The panel will include creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman, executive producer and showrunner Chris Black and lead actor Patrick Fugit (Kyle Barnes).

Here’s the trailer for Robert Kirkman’s Outcast, which debuted during SDCC.

Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous, Gone Girl) stars as Barnes, a man searching for answers, and for redemption, who sequesters himself from those he loves for fear of causing greater hurt. Philip Glenister stars as Reverend Anderson, a West Virginia evangelist who believes he is a soldier in God’s holy war against the forces of evil on Earth. An inveterate drinker and gambler, he doesn’t believe God intends people to sweat the small stuff. Gabriel Bateman stars as Joshua Austin, an eight-year-old who lives across town from Kyle. To his family’s dismay, he appears to be in the clutches of demonic possession, but there’s something very different about this possession and its connection to Kyle Barnes.

Robert Kirkman wrote the pilot episode, You’re Next, directed by Adam Wingard.

Outcast is set to air in 2016 on Cinemax.
