Must Have Pumps for Those with a Shoe Fetish

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with having a shoe fetish, I have over 100 pairs of heels and I still want more. I’m sure 100 is such a low number to those with an extreme thirst of seeing a pair of heels and dropping money on them in a second. Heels make a woman feel sexy, tall and confident. Some men also have a shoe fetish and will have sexual thoughts about them, Chinese artist Zhu Tian decided to design a pair of pumps around this fact.

The artist sculpted a pair of provocative pumps: ‘babe’ are a set of flesh colored shoes made of silica gel, completely covered in stringy human hair and tied together with chains.

Strands of hair have been carefully implanted into the foot-shaped form, loosely arranged to highlight their undoubtedly revolting appearance. The explicit connotations are evident as the sculptural wearables seek to covey their primary function as sexual commodities and as tools to increase attractiveness and lust.

Meet Calvin Klein’s New Plus-Size Model: Myla Dalbesio

Yes, you read it correctly. PLUS SIZE. Myla Dalbesio is Calvin Klein’s new plus size model who is a size 10 but also reportedly an 8. I am far from a fashion or modeling expert but I can pretty much see a major issue here.

The fashion industry has long been known to snub plus-size models and clothing. While there has been some changes on the runway, the change remains to be slow. When I saw the tweet below from Elle magazine, I side-eyed it and asked if the actual plus-size model was cropped out of the pic. After reading Elle’s article here, apparently Myla is supposed to be the ‘in-between’ size model. Yup, as in-between the industry standard petite size and plus-size.

Dear fashion industry, this is ridiculous. Please stop.

Walk Down the Aisle Wearing this Elsa Inspired Frozen Wedding Gown

The Disney Frozen team has paired up with wedding and bridesmaid gown designer, Alfred Angelo to bring brides a fairy tale gown to go along with their fairy tale wedding. I introduce to you the Frozen Wedding Gown.

“A character like Elsa is a huge inspiration for any designer,” says Alfred Angelo’s Chief Creative Officer Michele Piccione, who designed the dress. “She is beautiful and elegant, and her inner beauty shines through when she is ultimately not afraid to embrace who she is with confidence and poise.”

To start the design process, Piccione looked at the moment in which Elsa transforms and “finally embraces her icy powers” during the song “Let It Go,” a tune so magically voiced by Idina Menzel. “We wanted to translate Elsa’s inner beauty and individuality into a sophisticated gown that exudes this,” says Piccione.

The result is an ice blue softly-flared sheath gown with a sweetheart neckline made with layers of satin, tulle, glitter net and organza (sketch shown above). All-over beading in swirling patterns cover the gown so it shimmers like Elsa’s so very treasured fresh-fallen snow. A Watteau train, a classic style that drapes from the shoulders to the floor, adds a finishing touch and “captures Elsa’s regal appearance and her bold personality,” Piccione notes.

The Elsa Frozen wedding gown will be available in icy blue and ivory January 2015 at Alfred Angelo.

What’s missing from the article is the price tag on this Frozen wedding gown, I’m pretty sure that it won’t be outrageous, but it will absolutely cost you a pretty penny. What are your thoughts on this Elsa inspired Frozen wedding gown, let me know in the comments.
