Adele Drops New Music Video, Hello, from Upcoming Album 25

It’s been a few years since we’ve heard any new music from Adele, more specifically, 4 years since her 6 Grammy award winning album “21”. On the 21st, Adele announced that she was dropping a new album, “25”, on November 20th.

This morning, not only did Adele drop new music, she dropped the video for her song “Hello” which stars Tristan Wilds (The Wire). The album “25” will not be about break ups, but it’s a make-up album. In the video below, Adele wants to make up with her ex-bae Tristan. She calls him on several phones, including a flip phone and tells him that, “I’m sorry for breaking your heart.” I’m sure this song will get several men and women calling up their exes and reciting her lyrics. You’ve been warned. Check out the video below.

“25” will feature 11 songs:

1. Hello
2. Send My Love (To Your New Lover)
3. I Miss You
4. When We Were Young
5. Remedy
6. Water Under The Bridge
7. River Lea
8. Love In The Dark
9. Million Years Ago
10. All I Ask
11. Sweetest Devotion

A deluxe version of 25, available exclusively at Target, will include three bonus tracks: “Can’t Let Go,” “Lay Me Down” and “Why Do You Love Me.”

Adele’s “25” will be released on November 20th.

Guest Blog: @NrdLovnNetta Reviews Tamia’s Latest Album: Love Life

Tamia’s back, and boy, did I miss her. After 3 long years, I finally get yet another album inspired by what has to be some GREAT love between Tamia and hubby, Grant Hill. Love Life took me through multiple rounds of “GIRL…YYYYYAAAASSS.” Although I love the entire album, I’ll highlight a few of my favorites and try to keep my WHEW to a minimum.

“Chaise Lounge” had me as soon as Tamia’s voice caressed the line “Boy take ‘em off…” The song is sexy and paints a similar picture to Destiny’s Child’s “Cater to You”. A woman, deeply in love, just catering to her man’s needs. However, this is much more mature and encourages a brief interlude in the living room before heading to the bedroom. I am here for it.

“Sandwich and a Soda”: the improved “Baby…make me a sammich.” This song elicits the illest of body rolls, and has a permanent place on my lap dance playlist. (Yes, I have a playlist, you shouldn’t judge) She sings it in a deeper register than I’m used to, and it made the song stick out. Plus, SaaS appeals to the side of me who feels like great sex should be celebrated with great food. Bae DID that? Treat them to some Boars Head.

I don’t know what Grant is doing to Tamia, but my goodness do I need some of THAT. If you wonder why I say that, listen to “Special”. “All I need is you, I wanna be engulfed by you. You keep me high, feels like I’ve been drugged by you.” I’m not sure if I can handle a love like the one she is singing about. It sounds like something that would make me disappear for a long while. Where’s Netta? You don’t know? Me either.

Picture it: Bae is in a café. You walk onto a stage containing one microphone, lit by a single spotlight. “Stuck With Me” starts to play. WHEW (I made it farther than I thought.) This beautiful, sultry track might be my favorite on the album. I sing loudly every time it comes on, attempt to hit the lofty notes (BAAAYYBEEEE YOU’RE SSSTTTUUUUU-UU-UU-UU-UUUUU-UU-UU-UUCK WITTHH MEE!!), try to match the desperation in “I’m so lost without you,” and it never works. Tamia’s range is impeccable and “Stuck With Me” brings light to that fact. I might not ever sing it on stage, but this track will be warbled into a hair-brush microphone, on repeat, for months to come.

Tamia’s cover of “Black Butterfly” lifts me. While she held to the essence of Deniece Williams’s version, she made the song her own. If you listen to nothing else, please listen to this. I felt as if she was singing to me, to herself, and to every Black girl: “…Rise up even higher so the ageless winds of time can catch your wings.

Tamia definitely has yet another great album on her hands. I suggest listening to Love Life from top to bottom. It flows beautifully from song to song and, if nothing else, makes me want to body roll my day away.

Watch Kanye West’s New Video ‘Only One’ Starring North West

Kanye West stopped by the Ellen Show and premiered his debut video for 2015, ‘Only One’ featuring his beautiful daughter North West. The song ‘Only One’ which has Paul McCartney on keyboards, is a “penned letter” from his mother, Donda. Spike Jonze directed the ‘Only One’ video that shows Kanye and North West in the park on a rainy day.

Kanye also sits down with Ellen for an interview and the two talk about Kanye being married to Kim Kardashian and being a father to adorable North West.

“I think I’m a better human being because of [Kim] and because of my daughter, and I have always someone to think about going home to,” he said. “Something for me to not only to be brave for what I want to do for humanity, but also to be more protective of myself for my family, because there’s things I’ve done in the past that were considered negative, but I was really jumping in front of the tank for other people, or for culture, in a way. So now, I always have to have that in my mind that I have a family that I have to protect, too.”
